Trade law includes the law of sale, custom or tax law, shipping law and export control. We can advise you for the international purchase and sale of your or your counterpart’s goods or services. We can draft or revise the related contracts, advise on any related legal issue, and assist you in case of dispute. If the transaction involves the sale of goods between Switzerland and China, or between any of these two countries and another country member of the UNCITRAL Convention on the International Sale of Goods (Vienna Convention) where the Convention applies by default and supersedes the parties’ national law or their choice of law, we can also advise about the Convention. Where the Vienna Convention is ruled out, we can advise about the Swiss or Chinese law of sale. If the transaction involves Switzerland and China, we can also advise about the Sino-Swiss Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
