Jean-Christophe Liebeskind (A.K.A. John Liebeskind and 李健 LI Jian), LL.M. (LSE), avocat (Geneva) and Solicitor, England & Wales, FCIArb, DipICArb (CIArb), is a Swiss national.

John is registered at the Geneva bar and qualified, as English Solicitor (non-practicing), in London. He holds a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics, and earned fellowship and a diploma of international commercial arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. John practices in Switzerland since 1988 and in China since 2003. In 2008, he joined Global Law Office 环球律师事务所 hánqiú lǜshī shìwùsuǒ, a Chinese law firm, in Beiing, with which he has been practicing in China ever since. He gained additional expertise while chairing SwissCham, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in China. Besides, John practices with Swisslegal in Switzerland. Before coming to China, he worked with Lalive & Partners in Geneva, a law firm dedicated to international law. John advises foreign and Chinese clients, both in Switzerland and in China, about international commercial matters related to foreign investment and trade, for transactions and dispute resolution. He is due to publish “Chinese Business Law” with Staempfli in 2026. John is fluent in English, French, German, Swiss-German and Spanish.
